The Nook – East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices

A new hospice is needed to meet the demand for our services in Norfolk. The Quidenham hospice is one of the oldest in the UK and has been an incredible home-from-home to many families for more than 20 years.

However the hospice was converted from an old country house and is extremely restricted in its facilities and development. The demand on services continues to increase and the care for young people over the last decade has become far more complicated – we are rapidly outgrowing the constraints of the building.

The Nook will be built in woodland setting, and won’t be isolated from services, hospitals and road networks.
“The challenges this year will involve a couple of training marathons then an endurance Ultra Marathon. The Ultra will be a one-off race over 35 miles.”

Tom ran in the Brighton, the London Marathon and in June 2015, the Ultra Marathon (35miles).
